A colour detecting, vibrating musical instrument for deaf children.
Few deaf children have tried to make music, since they cannot hear it. The product I created will introduce children to music by letting them build their own music with coloured patches (similar to puzzle or Lego pieces) on a surface, and then feel it by receiving vibrations as they slide over the coloured patches. Sono Hue will then also light up in the same colour as it is detecting, helping the children to link certain colours to certain sounds/vibrations.
By connecting the visual elements (colours) to the vibrations (notes), the ultimate goal would be achieved when the more grown-up deaf child can sit behind a piano (for instance) with coloured keys, and can play music and experience it in his/her head, almost the same as we, hearing people, would.
